About the Compilation
The Big Cover-Up is the first entry in Big Curve Music’s cover-song compilation series, bringing together artists and friends from across the Washington, DC, Maryland and Virginia music community to reinterpret songs that helped shape them.
Named after the iconic “Big Curve” on the Capital Beltway, the compilation celebrates the collaborative spirit of the DMV scene while giving each participating artist room to put its own personality into a familiar song.
Rather than simply recreating the originals, the bands on The Big Cover-Up approach these songs from their own musical worlds, resulting in a collection that moves through alternative rock, goth, metal, punk, electronic rock and more.
