About the EP

Monotones is the debut release from CHAIN PULLER, an Annapolis, Maryland noise-rock trio featuring Trampas Ferree on guitar and vocals, Ben Saltzman on bass, and Kevin Herdeman on drums.

All three members are veterans of the Maryland music scene, while Ferree and Herdeman had been talking about starting a noise-rock band together for nearly 20 years. Eventually, they stopped talking about it and made some noise.

Loud, abrasive and frequently funny, CHAIN PULLER pulls from the stranger edges of heavy rock, with the band citing The Jesus Lizard, Future of the Left, Torche and Captain Beefheart among their reference points. Sometimes they're mean, sometimes they're not, but they're always having a good time making a racket.

The band describes Monotones simply as: “6 jokes turned into songs played by 3 dudes who laugh at everything…”
