Monsters From The Surf is the debut album from Maryland surf/punk/garage band Monsters From The Surf. Originally released independently in 2004, the album blends reverb-soaked surf guitar, garage rock energy, punk attitude, and tongue-in-cheek B-movie humor across nineteen tracks.
The album features eleven original Monsters From The Surf compositions alongside eight inspired covers of surf, garage, and cult-rock favorites. From “Kamehamea,” “Monster From The Surf,” and “National Bohemian” to “Watusi Underground,” the record captures the band’s long-running mix of vintage surf culture, hot rods, beach-party chaos, and monster-movie fun.
Originally issued by Frap-A-Phonic Sound, Monsters From The Surf joined the Big Curve Music catalog in 2022, when the album was reissued on CD and made available digitally and on streaming services for the first time.
